Relating to naloxone; prescribing an effective date.

Abstract

Requires health care provider who prescribes opioid to offer prescription for naloxone, or similar drug, and educational material under specified circumstances. Defines "health care provider." Allows health professional regulatory board to impose discipline for violation. Becomes operative on January 1, 2022. Takes effect on 91st day following adjournment sine die.
